Former home of the short-lived Sam's Place, Sciacca's Social Club and Grill seems like just another pub in Downtown Brea: heavy on the liquor, Stella Artois on the tap, a few wines on the rack. But Sciacca's is more than a mere liquor dispensary. Any bar back can figure how to make a fancy martini or pour random liquors into a shot glass and give it a clever name, but it takes true guts to serve up the potent libation they call "Hop, Skip and Go Naked." Consisting of beer, vodka and pink lemonade, it's known for living up to the name's reputation. Owner Nick Sciacca also makes a point of walking around the room and patio, introducing himself to patrons and asking them what they would like to see at a bar-and that's more refreshing than any lemonade-based concoction.
