MJ Cafe Express is built to be a college student hangout. It has tables that glow, booths that you can practically take a nap in, and cheap food that most of UCI's largely Asian student body would consider comfort food. The popcorn chicken can be had as a snack, eaten by spearing with a wooden skewer or with rice as a full meal. There's noodles, and more advanced plates involving soy-sauce cooked meats, but really you're here for the milk slushies with boba, egg pudding, a lot of it flavored with syrups and brown sugar sauce, which is like crack in its addictive qualities. Pay with cash and you get a discount.
