Come during the height of the lunch hour and you won't find parking. Though Kim Huong is located nowhere near any business parks, or really, anywhere particularly interesting, it routinely gets busy for lunch. Five or so customers are enough to max out the parking spaces outside. And you aren't supposed to use the spots reserved for the dingy liquor store next door or the video rental place that has metal bars on the windows. They are known for cheap and good bowls of bun rieu, a noodle soup with angel hair-like strands floating in a pink-hued broth flavored of tomatoes and crab. Also offered is chicken pho, and at least two other noodle soups made by a close-knit family who has decorated the dining room with pictures of dad when he was a proud soldier in the South Vietnamese army. Occasionally he'll be the one taking your order for sesame balls and their ever-popular egg-rolls.
