If you play World of Warcraft, chances are the programmers who control your online destiny ate here for lunch. Inka's is directly across the street from Blizzard Entertainment world headquarters in Irvine. In fact, it's surrounded by tech firms and so far removed from the rest of civilization, when you find it you feel like you've discovered some sort of video game hidden level where all the gold coins are. There's a crooning guitarist on the weekends, and food so mind-bendingly great it's like you're being fed by a Peruvian grandmother. The calamari is amazing. Not your typical fried squid, it's doused in a thin, almost watery lemon sauce with cut-up tomatoes, pickled onions, and Andean spices you can't put your finger on. There is, of course, the typical chifa favorites of saltado and chaufa, all of it seared on a roaring wok. So come already. Don't let this place go to waste on just geeky programmers.
