This used to be Rustica, an attempt at an Italian restaurant with a named chef hired away from Vegas. After that experiment failed, the place turned into Great Maple. The interior design stayed the same, but the food got better. Think mac and cheese sprinkled with bacon, excellent fish and chips, and pizzas that are actually better than that long-forgotten Italian place baked. Best of all, the food now fits in to where it's served, in a breezy room, right in front of the fountain and sharing the corner with Nordstrom in Fashion Island. After a marathon shopping session, you don't need some fancy Italian grub, you need this stuff, washed down by a mixed cocktail with fruity embellishments.
