It's said that the Golden Horseshoe was one of Walt Disney's favorite hangouts at Disneyland. It used to be the site of the Golden Horseshoe Revue, which was in the running for the world's longest-running live stage show. The place is one of the prettiest in the park, with polished brass banisters and period chandeliers, a grand room that is still one of Disneyland's most unique spaces. That rollicking stage show is no more. These days, on most nights, you'll see nothing but fanny packs and screaming children who line up for chicken fingers and fries at the saloon bar. But there may be no better refuge in the whole park than the secluded seating upstairs where you can pig out on chili fries and get cooled by the air-conditioning.
