Fukada 2 Go is billed as the take-out little brother of the much more structured and formal Fukada across town, but it, too, is a restaurant where you can get unapologetically authentic Japanese dishes, even if the cooks who make it aren’t Japanese. To try these, check the specials board. Most who come order a bento box, or one of the combo specials where you get some sort of sushi roll paired with a donburi. The best donburi is the one with tonkatsu, a gut-bomb of fluffy egg encapsulating spears of breaded pork cutlet and a whole mess of rice underneath. You could also do just as well ordering a bowl of udon here. Parking is, however, a chore. The restaurant is located smack dab in the middle of a high rise apartment complex and finding a space in front of the place is a challenge. So do yourself a favor, just round the corner and find the labyrinthine parking structure. The hassle will be worth it.
