You overestimated the security line at John Wayne airport by an hour and now you've arrived way too early for your flight. You skipped dinner, and now your stomach is growling, but the thought of McDonald's or something that requires tipping a waiter does not excite you. You want something substantial yet unfussy and also maybe just a banana to eat later on the plane. You see the Farmer's Market by Laguna Culinary Arts sign and it appeals to you. It sounds fresh, healthy because you've always equated Laguna Beach with great food, you have high hopes. But then you see the prices--they're charging upwards to $16 for a steak sandwich. So you pick up a soup, and then buy that banana, which you savor slowly later as the plane is taking off. Funny how precious-tasting a banana is when you have to pay more than a dollar for it.
