Dogzilla is a food truck that sells hot dogs. The great thing about Dogzilla's Asian-inspired hot dog is that their structural integrity remain: the noodles stay in place, the wiener doesn't slip, the bun soaks up everything but doesn't turn into a soggy mess. Served not on a traditional, tasteless bun but rather on three sweet rolls split down the middle, Dogzilla's dogs are savory and juicy and render a satisfying snap. Toppings range from classic to far out—but beginners should try the truck's namesake dog, a hefty all-beef frank covered in grilled onions, bacon, avocado, mayo, teriyaki sauce and furikake (Japanese dried seasoning). You may have to chase them around town to get one of its delicious dogs (the owners are great about updating the schedule on Twitter), but that journey is well worth it. Catch them around UC Irvine, or in one of the many clustertrucks Orange County hosts.
