Dana Point Harbor is in Dana Point. If you're one of the throngs of beachcombers who've taken up paddleboarding (a derivative of the ancient Hawaiian art of standup surfing), then get thyself and thy board over to Dana Point Harbor. Glide past the boats and meander among tall ships and kayaks in the breezy beauty that is Dana Point. You don't even need to own your own board because both rentals and lessons are available through the OC Sailing and Events Center. So, slip on those trunks, board shorts or bikini and join the new outdoor-fitness craze—you might even make some new friends, both land mammal and sea. This is also the place with an aquatics museum, a replica of the boat that made Dana Point famous in the first place, and also the ghost of Big Dana, the waves that used to make this a premier surf spot known as Doheny.
