We don't quite know when this popular but hidden, dank but charming, sandwich
shop started doing business, but we're guessing it's sometime around when Carter
was in the White House and before the Tustin Marine Corps Air Station across the
street was decommissioned. The regulars seem to have been here all that time,
taking seats at the bar, nursing bottles of cold beer as they bite into egg salad
sandwiches served on foam plates and bagged chips. There's an honest to goodness
pool table deep in the back and barely anything on the wall except paint and the
stories it would tell if it could talk.
