Son of Zorn, Fox Animated/Live-Action Comedy Set in OC, Debuts Sooner

Son of Zorn was supposed to premiere at the end of September.

However, network Fox has decided to change all that—for the better if you are among those eagerly awaiting the live-action/animated comedy that is set in Orange County.

Now the show debuts at 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, following the season’s first NFL doubleheader. Son of Zorn will then pick up in its regular time slot of 8:30 p.m. Sundays starting Sept. 25, when there will be an all-new episode.

The hybrid comedy, from the minds of executive producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, has Jason Sudeikis voicing Zorn, a warrior from the faraway island Zephyria, where everything and everyone is animated. He returns to Orange County to win back his live-action ex-wife Edie (Cheryl Hines) and teenage son Alangulon, a.k.a. Alan (Johnny Pemberton). Edie has a fiancé (Tim Meadows), but Zorn does not give up that easily, getting an office job to stay close to his estranged family.
