Last month's Night Market weekend at the OC Fair and Events Center was, well, really freaking crowded. And if you were unable to make it, or unable to even get in, we have another option for you: Surf City Nights. It's Huntington Beach's answer to the nighttime shopping-and-eating craze, and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Tuesday night, Main St. closes between Orange and PCH for a food and live music festival. A certified farmers market, Surf City Nights offers a dazzling array of the freshest fruits and vegetables, all locally sourced, of course, as well as treasures from more than 90 unique vendors selling everything from flowers to jewelry to handmade soap. Plus, there's roasted corn, funnel cake, kettle corn, and even chow mein to snack on. And it's totally free (and easy) to get in.
