Artists often speak about how their practice feels like a very personal form of meditation. This workshop examines how drawing lets us tap into moments of heightened presence, awareness, and timelessness, through insights that have been backed up by scientific discoveries. Using multiple drawing exercises we will find methods to shift from constantly assigning words and symbols to what we see, to observe things in a directed and inquisitive way. Open to anyone with a curiosity for drawing. All skill levels are welcome.
