Fans of Walt Disney and war history especially will want to pay visit to Great Park Gallery at OC Great Park to learn about a little known chapter on the animator's creative life. During World War II, Disney was commissioned by the Marine Corps Air Station El Toro to design an emblem for their American and Allied military units. Among the thousand logo designs his production company created— many which featured Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and other Disney characters— the El Toro “Flying Bull” was selected and adorned aircrafts flying all over the world. You can see many of these designs on display, as well as special WWII-era artwork by artists from modern day Disney, Pixar and Marvel Studios made specifically for this exhibit.
