If you're a Chicanx or Latinx who grew up around southern California in the last 40 or so years, chances are you're well aware of the east Los Angeles printmaking shop Self Help Graphics. They've been operating out of Boyle Heights for decades after initially starting out by a group of artists and printmakers out of a garage, and now act as a fully functioning 501(c)3 nonprofit. Their legacy of art continues, as displayed by their latest exhibit of work showcased at Golden West College's Art Gallery. On view starting tonight are prints made at Self Help Graphics, running the gamut of newer works and archival prints on loan from SHG and Laguna Art Museum. Don't miss these exquisite works making a rare OC appearance.
