MADCAP ART SHOW -- Part of 4th Fridays on 4th Street Series on Retro Row in Long Beach
Long Beach based curator/artist/anti-fashion trend setter extraodinaire, Paulina Itzel has put together a one evening smorgasbord of young talent including various forms of art from music to installations.
The theme "MADCAP" came from the idea that to "normal" people artists seem crazy. This theme celebrates the nature of this prevailing attitude; that artists and youth are capricious and make art for arts sake. Yay!
Itzel seeks to provide a show where these talented outsiders feel a sense of belonging within a world that percieves them as weird. Her goal is "to bring the community together and show people how talented these young generations have become."
"This will be the next generation of famous individuals to make a come up" says Itzel. And clearly, "normal" people need not apply.
Donations for artists accepted through the Far Outfit Eventbrite site and in person.
"MADCAP ART SHOW." Far Outfit Vintage and Sustainable Clothing, Accessories, and Gifts, 2020 E 4th St., Long Beach; Fri., Aug 25, 5-10pm. One Night Only.
