To celebrate Record Store Day, and the release of Pick Pockets, Petty Thieves, and Tiny Victories (1987-1995) – Their first five albums, pressed on vinyl, especially for Record Store Day, John Rzeznik will be stopping by Fingerprints for what he’s calling a “one-time only acoustic set”.

It seems like we shouldn’t have to say much more about the Goo Goo Dolls, other than that they’re the Goos, but just in case, here’s a bit of background:

Formed in Buffalo NY as a garage punk band, the Goo Goo Dolls turned their early club days touring with the likes of Dag Nasty, ALL, Dead Milkmen, and DRI into mainstream success with evolutionary steps along their 20+ year journey. Along that journey they’ve played everywhere from sweaty clubs like CBGBs to selling out Red Rocks, they’ve had 19 top ten singles, and have sold more than 12 million albums. Billboard magazine chose their song Iris as #1 on their “Top 100 Pop Songs 1992–2012" chart.

The band will be heading out for a US tour this Summer, with a local stop at the Greek Theatre on September 13th.

The guest list is open now with pre-order of the Pick Pockets, Petty Thieves, and Tiny Victories box set. This is the only place you can pre-order this RSD piece, and we have a very limited number of them. We will be holding some back for RSD morning, and those will also include a wristband for the performance.
