This year’s 13th annual Retrofest delves into the fascinating stories behind the songs we know and love, and the people who brought them to life. Join us as we visit the songwriting sweatshops of tin pan alley, celebrate the era of the singer-songwriter, and share a few “I didn’t know they wrote that!” moments. “Retrofest XIII: Songwriter” runs Thursday through Saturday, May 4-6 at 7:30 p.m. with an additional matinee on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. The production is on the main stage in the Historic Huntington Beach Union High School District Auditorium and Bell Tower. Tickets are $22 for adults, $16 for students/seniors 65+ and can be purchased online at www.hbapa.org/see.
