Free Screening of Thelma & Louise

Free Screening of Thelma & Louise

WISEPlace

Special community outreach and awareness screening of Thelma & Louise – cult classic, Oscar award-winner and penultimate tale of female oppression and empowerment – in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the 1 in 4 National Movement for unaccompanied homeless women.

The film is presented by and in support of WISEPlace, a nonprofit transitional housing and empowerment program in Santa Ana serving unaccompanied homeless women, and No Silence No Violence, a nonprofit organization committed to breaking the silence surrounding domestic violence.

The screening is free! Donations are appreciated. There will be a short discussion after the film, led by NSNV founder Jessica Yaffa, WISEPlace Executive Director Kathleen Davis Bowman and a representative from new Directions for Women.

Come out for a night of positive energy; one that will help increase awareness of domestic violence and issues surrounding homelessness among the unaccompanied women in our community! Please register in advance. Donations will be accepted at the door or online.
