The two ideal activities us city slickers have on top of our list (time, money and schedule permitting) are hiking and yoga. And of course, every year we come up nil on those resolutions, with a range of excuses preventing us from attending to either goal. But now you can knock both goals out of the park with the Irvine Ranch Conservancy's weekly hiking and yoga classes at Bommer Canyon where newbies and enthusiasts alike can bask in nature's glory with a two-part ecological adventure. Participants show up at 9:30 a.m. where they'll be led around a 1-mile loop hiking trail that ends at the spot where a 60-minute yoga class will take place. Comfortable clothes, durable yoga mat, towels and extra padding and layers of clothing are recommended.
