The Farhang Foundation, which seeks to promote Iranian art and culture, is continuing its ongoing “Focus Iran 2” contemporary art showcase at UC Irvine's Viewpoint Gallery. The biennial juried show channels the perspectives of Iranian artists still grappling with post-revolution, post-occupation Iran. Through photography, artists present powerful images that work with abstraction, documentary or symbolism that give the viewer a generous look inside each artist's specific narrative. Likewise, with video, artists employ visual information to describe their connections to their heritage and identity. Explore this riveting exhibition of twelve different artists and their disparate worlds, for the first time presented in an Orange County gallery.
