Presenting the rhythms of Old Havana performed by La Charanga Cubana, playing Salsa music for your dancing and listening pleasure. Directed by Edgar Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez was born and raised in Cuba and was a music instructor before he toured Cuba and the world with some of the most famous Salsa singers and musicians of the time. In 1994 he moved to Los Angeles, where he formed La Charanga Cubana. In addition to directing the band Mr. Hernandez has authored books on Cuban music, recorded 3 CDs, played for the soundtracks of various movies and presently teaches music at Cal State L.A.
