Champions for Kindness, in conjunction with the American Academy of Pediatrics and experts in the field of medical, psychological, and technology fields, along with celebrities from professional sports and entertainment, are putting together an Orange County-wide Leadership Event to reduce bullying in our schools. This Champions for Kindness Leadership Event is set for November 14, 2017, and hopes to create a significant movement to empower student leaders to successfully reduce bullying and promote kindness.

About 1 in 4 U.S. students have been bullied at school verbally, socially or by cyber bullying. About 160,000 kids stay home daily for fear of being bullied, affecting about 13 million students yearly. This translates into tens of students from your school staying home daily for fear of being bullied. Together, we can champion this cause to change the culture in our schools. To this end, the event and follow-up initiatives were created.

Join Us! Those attending will be moved and inspired by celebrity presenters, equipped with follow-up initiatives such as Champions for Kindness Clubs, Mentoring Opportunities, and a Student-Created Videos Contest demonstrating kindness. The goal is for these videos to go viral, with the winning groups attending a sports game and showing their winning video during half-time.

Please select student leaders who represent the diversity of your school, and advisors/parents who plan on sharing what they will learn to become the change-agents in your school. Please register, RSVP your attendance numbers and get your e-tickets, which are required at the door.
