On Tuesday, October 10, 2017, Champions for Kindness, in conjunction with the American Academy of Pediatrics – Orange County Chapter are putting together a leadership event to reduce bullying in our schools.

1 in 4 U.S. students are bullied at school verbally, socially or by cyber bullying. This translates into tens of students from your school staying home daily for fear of being bullied. Community leaders in the medical, educational, psychological, neurological, and technological fields, along with professional athletes will share their expertise and encourage students and parents how to overcome bullying. Dr. Martin Eaton, PhD, who sits on the Champions for Kindness Board of Directors states, “If one in four kids get bullied at school, we need a new generation of CHAMPIONS FOR KINDNESS at our schools. Please join us on in changing and saving lives at Santiago Middle School in Orange at 7:00 pm.”

This event will take place at the Santiago Charter Middle School which is located at 515 S. Rancho Santiago Blvd. Orange, California 92869. There will be two sessions taking place at the simultaneously: One session catered to students in the sixth grade or older, and one session for physicians and parents. The event will be taped, and an edited version will be made available for parents, students, teachers and physicians to facilitate discussion and move towards prevention of bullying.
