Topic - Make a Succulent Container Garden
Part Lecture, part workshop, this garden class will first teach general identification, care and propagation techniques of the most popular succulents grown today as well as basic principles of design. During the workshop participants will design and create their own succulent container garden. Tools, terracotta pots and succulents will be provided (or bring your own container(s)). Take home your finished garden!
Speaker - Adam Waugh, Centennial Farm's Garden & Floral Coordinator
Centennial Farm's Garden & Floral Coordinator, Adam Waugh, has been a part of the department for 10 years. He is a long-time succulent enthusiast with both nursery and arboretum experience. With a professional and informal experience in container garden design, he has been creating succulent and mixed-plant container gardens for 5 years.
A Note to Parents: The Centennial Farm is open to the public 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on this day. However, we ask that children not be left unattended in the Farm while you are enjoying the Garden Class. Classes are intended for participants 16 years and older only.
