Whole Foods Market Irvine will host the Biking with Whole Foods Market group bike ride event to help local residents learn safe routes to the local organic grocer and how to bike with groceries. Pre-register at http://lifeisacycle.bike.
Biking with Whole Foods Market is a social group bike ride centered on the health, environmental and financial benefits of commuter biking for trips within 5-10 miles of the home. Participants will see where local biking routes and paths are in their community, learn how to bike with groceries, and experience the bike commute to their local organic grocer with a group.
Biking with groceries is where fitness meets food. It's a way to multitask fitness and build a habit of buying and eating more fresh foods. Making a bike ride to the store every day or two instead of stockpiling with a car allows a person to get regular exercise and get into a cycle of eating fresh. By hosting this new ride concept, Whole Foods Market Irvine is not only teaching people how to eat organically, but showing them how to live organically.
Hosted by Whole Foods Market Irvine, ride leaders from Trail’s End Cycling Center, created by My City Bikes, free and open to the public.
