Nadine's Irish Mist

Nadine's Irish Mist

The live bands and karaoke nights hosted at Nadine's usually lay waste to Sunset Beach's sleepy reputation. But it's all in good fun at this rocking Irish pub.
Schooner at Sunset

Schooner at Sunset

Don't let the nautical theme fool you, there will be no stale grog served here. Rather you can choose from a sizable offering of craft brews and signature cocktails.
Crow's Cocktail's

Crow's Cocktail's

Yes this place holds about 50, but don't worry, handsome mirrors lend this joint the illusion of size. Enjoy a full bar, brews on tap and the eloquence of dive chic.

    Mulligans Sports Bar and Grill

1401 Calle Valle San Clemente, CA 92672
    949-492-4400

http://www.mulligansbarsanclemente.com Mulligans Sports Bar and Grill in San Clemente is a throwback to the times where places called "pool halls” existed, in the days before higher-end establishments opened and became places to be seen, rather than places to, you know, actually shoot pool. Here, you can slap down some quarters, drink American beer that didn't have a stupid name on the label, and concentrate on the recreation at hand—kicking your buddy's ass in a game of billiards. Sure, it's in a rather dark corner of San Clemente, and those with lesser constitutions for such things give it poor reviews on Yelp, but that's exactly what a pool hall and bar should be—just dangerous enough to keep the cool people out. And for bonus points, there aren't any bro dudes with mixed-martial-arts tank tops scowling at everyone. Bonus points: the hamburgers and sandwiches here are cheap and not too bad. Ole's Tavern

127 S. El Camino Real San Clemente, CA 92672
    949-498-9400

http://www.olestavern.com Ole’s Tavern is in San Clemente and named after the city’s founder, Ole Hansen. It’s one of the more mellow scenes in the bar-heavy city, with a good mix of local young men and women and older regulars who remember the days before the San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant was erected, and the only radioactive thing in town was Richard Nixon over at La Casa Romantica. They’re most famous for all the pool tables they have. The art of billiards is essentially dead, relegated to Vietnamese and Mexican bars. But at Ole's Tavern, this is still the sport of choice while knocking back beers and flirting in a place where Marines on leave from Pendleton mingle with the outside world and wow you with tales of Afghanistan as they kick your ass off the corner pocket. Make sure to travel here with friends, though, just in case things get a bit wacky with a ringer or two. Read more about this Orange County bar or club >>
