http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lemon-Twist-Lounge/162078787172107 Though it's a dive, the Lemon Twist Lounge is clean and well-maintained. Everything about this spot screams utility, from its four perfectly spaced pool tables to its immaculate vacuumed carpet. The bar attracts a unique blend of locals, from younger couples and pool enthusiasts to gray-haired pool sharks. The acoustic popcorn ceiling is painted jet black, and the back wall is adorned with Marine Corps and POW flags. The full bar serves a modest selection of tap and bottled brews, including Shock Top, Bud Light and Coors. And the jukebox blasts everything from UB40 to Beyoncé. http://www.theotherplacetoo.com Formerly known as Cero's, The Other Place caters to a culturally eclectic clientele. Drink specials include happy hour Monday through Friday 4 p.m. to 8p.m., and flow from a fully stocked bar accompanied by a decent wine and draft beer selection. Aside from pints, beer is also served in large glass chalices. On Tuesday and Friday nights a DJ spins music ranging from '80s to contemporary chart toppers and Spanish rock. Wednesday night is comedy night, featuring talent from "Last Comic Standing," "The Tonight Show" and Comedy Central. Live Spanish rock bands take the stage on Thursdays, playing cover songs in both English and Spanish. The menu offers standard bar food with appetizers, burgers and sandwiches, with 99 cent tacos on Tuesdays. Read more about this Orange County bar or club >>

The Press Box is an all-American sports bar off the 91 freeway. Nine big-screens and two dozen smaller TVs broadcast a variety of games, drawing in a steady crowd of regulars. The Press Box also features a room with an oversized dance floor; this section of the Box feels like a dance hall and is readily available to rent for parties. Currently, a DJ spins top 40 jams for Saturday night revelers. The walls are adorned with sports kitsch, there are three pool tables and pretty barmaids rock the referee look. The bar serves up a $3.75 margarita daily, but the E-Ticket shot is a must. A seemingly dangerous mix of vodka, gin, rum, triple sec, peach schnapps, Chambord, amaretto, sweet & sour and cranberry the E-Ticket is not as sweet as one might think, very smooth and mighty tasty. Want to double your drinking pleasure? Head over to the dark, divey-yet-friendly Rio Vista Inn, and you'll be seeing double whether or not you're drunk. A single building divided into two bars, the front half hosts draft beers and two pool tables. Try a pint of Newcastle, or the ever-delicious wheat ale Shock Top. If hard alcohol is your thing, the backroom has what you crave. Here, you can enjoy karaoke, a small dance floor and ice-cold Jäger shots. All in all, this is an ideal spot to raise a glass. http://www.throwbackssportsbar.com The place to pre-party before a home game for the Halos, Throwbacks has 16 taps, including Alaskan, Fat Tire and Firestone. Or go for the game special: free parking, a hot dog and a beer before the game; a free shuttle ride to and from; and a beer on the way back-all for $10. The beer-and-wine license means all its "cocktails" are built on soju, so stick to beer. Non-game nights feature varying specials, ranging from "empty the keg" nights (Mondays) to Taco Tuesdays with $1 chicken tacos. Go in with patience on a game night, though; it gets slammed! http://www.venetiangc.com Venetian Gentlemen’s Club is in Anaheim, which has always been the center of the strip-club industry in Orange County. Whether for of all the conventioneers and professional sports players who need to get their jollies after a day at the office or the city's working-class makeup—Latino or white, Asian or Arab, sometimes Tube8 just won't do and you need an actual girl whispering sweet nothings in your ear while loving you legally. And while the city has some long-established clubs, the relatively young Venetian Gentlemen's Club has already made its mark as the leader, not just for its gorgeous gals, not just for its classy atmosphere and proximity to the 91 freeway, but also for honest-to-goodness food and an affordable price point for dances—an important factor for its customers affected by the Great Recession. They are famous for their sushi bar, which isn’t a ghastly metaphor but an honest-to-goodness sushi bar—go figure! Read more about this Orange County bar or club >>

http://www.xalosbar.com If Xalos Bar were a character from a play, it would be Blanche Dubois from Tennessee Williams's A Streetcar Named Desire. The venue definitely looks better at night with assistance from some innovative lighting. Variously colored walls and a thatch-roof taco stand work to create a festive atmosphere, but might throw off clubbers expecting classier decor. The crowd is predominantly local and gets rather dense on weekends after 10 p.m. Xalos is equipped with a full bar and although the tenders might not keep on top of their specials, they can certainly whip up a decent classic.
