http://www.taixfrench.com The Taix family has been running this French restaurant since 1927, and in this location as a virtual Echo Park landmark since the early 1960s. There are six banquet rooms, as well as a 21-&-over live-music bar. For all of the European elegance of the banquet rooms, it's in the restaurant's 321 Lounge that Taix feels warmest and homiest. In recent years, the bar's humble floor-level stage in front of a simple brick-wall backdrop has borne witness to a surprising diversity of crucial local musicians, ranging from straight-ahead country-rock dreamers to truly out-there funk-jazz experimentalists. Low-key indie rock bands trade off with raging instrumental surf combos, followed by sweet pure-pop balladeers. As wild as the music sometimes get, the restaurant has a contrastingly traditional and continental ambiance, due in large part to a menu that's heavy on rustic French fare like duck a la orange, braised rabbit, butterflied trout, onion soup and escargot. Naturally, with such a fervent Francophile emphasis, the restaurant and full bar uncork a broad selection of fine French wines. Valet parking is available in Taix's lot, and metered parking can be found on the street. No cover. Read more about this Orange County bar or club >>
http://www.tantalumrestaurant.com Nestled within the Marina Pacifica is Tantalum, an Asian-fusion restaurant that maintains a refreshingly intimate feel in a large space. Though the restaurant is tiered, with tables placed at various elevations, the best seat in the house is at the 75-foot-long mahogany bar. Indulge in a Tahitian Moon, a fruity, vodka-fueled concoction, as you watch the sun slowly melt into the marina. Tantalum carries dozens of red and white wines, as well as a variety of beers and sake. While there is a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights, it seems only those with a bit of liquid courage dance the night away. Read more about this Orange County bar or club >>

http://www.tenrestaurantgroup.com You go to Ten Asian Bistro for its happy hour. You go to Ten because the sushi chef there seems unaffected by the toasts his customers insist he take. You go to Ten because you love the rolls he makes, as well as such modern-day pseudo-Japanese creations as Spicy Tuna On Crispy Rice. Read more about this Orange County bar or club >>

Or go for the game special: free parking, a hot dog and a beer before the game; a free shuttle ride to and from; and a beer on the way back-all for $10. The beer-and-wine license means all its "cocktails" are built on soju, so stick to beer. Non-game nights feature varying specials, ranging from "empty the keg" nights (Mondays) to Taco Tuesdays with $1 chicken tacos. Go in with patience on a game night, though; it gets slammed! The building is divided into three spacious sections which include a stage, bar area with two pool tables and a smoking patio. Connected to Señor Campos, one of La Habra's most beloved Mexican restaurants, Tillie's Lounge has been serving up margaritas and cold beers for more than three decades. It occupies a small room that features a full bar fronted by a large window, which looks onto passing shoppers. A couple of TVs tuned to sports or news flicker from the walls. In addition to the high stools ringing the bar, there are a smattering of tables around the room, where regulars often sit in groups and pass the time before getting seated at the adjacent eatery. But waiting for dinner isn't the only excuse for one to quench one's thirst, so Tillie's is open all day. Read more about this Orange County bar or club >>
http://www.tiltedkilt.com At the Tilted Kilt, an orgy of plaid knickknacks and random bagpipery decorate the walls of three distinct rooms: a main dining hall, a relatively sedate fireplace area, and a corner room with a pool table and a punching-bag arcade game on which males can demonstrate their machismo and pound their chests. If you strip it down, Tilted Kilt is not so much an Irish or Scottish bar as it is another restaurant that proudly peddles male-oriented distractions of booze, boobs and ballgames. Every wall or smooth vertical surface has an oversized flat-screen TV mounted on it. All the visual stimuli may cause you to miss how positively polished the whole place looks, like a PG-13-rated Chili's or Olive Garden. The people you'd expect to see there are here: young couples, retirees, a good mix of the tattooed-up and the buttoned-down who, like you, don't mind a little sexism as long as the bar pours a good pint of Guinness. Depending on the nights, Time Out features live bands comedy as well as DJs rocking hits from the '70s to the present. Read more about this Orange County bar or club >>
http://www.tinlizziesaloon.com With origins dating back to the 1950s, Tin Lizzie Saloon is Orange County's premier gay bar, where locals and out-of-towners come to mingle in a lively atmosphere and indulge in fine wine and spirits. Open daily, the swanky, red-hued Victorian saloon is located in the heart of SoBeCa (South on Bristol Entertainment, Culture and Arts) in Costa Mesa. Realizing the potential of the Tin Lizzie Saloon space, The Memphis Group owners acquired the property after a 10-yeaer courtship. As part of its ongoing support of the revitalization and development of SoBeCa, the group revamped the interior under the guidance of investor and local bar owner Mike Connely. The saloon's plush, new décor features red pin-and-tuck banquettes with brass foot rails, velvet-embossed "flocked" wallpaper, ornate gold sconces, velvet drapes and hardwood floors. An intriguing display of avant-garde photography decorates the walls. Considered a gay oasis in conservative OC's urban sprawl, Tin Lizzie Saloon serves up a wide selection of premium wines by the glass as well as signature martinis. A pool table and a vast selection of music on a satellite jukebox provide lively entertainment. With a new investment of energy and resources, Tin Lizzie Saloon continues its long tradition of offering a spirited and welcoming atmosphere for OC's gay community. http://www.turcscocktails.com Evening revelers wandering the sleepy seaside community of Sunset Beach would be hard-pressed to find a dive bar with more charm than Turc's. The establishment is full of nautical tchotchkes: carved wooden sailors and walls adorned with turtle and abalone shells. In the front room, where the full bar is located, authentic bamboo sticks along the ceiling create a tiki-room vibe. The bartender specializes in straight-up whiskey drinks and fuzzy navels for the ladies. An open fire pit provides warmth. The back room is outfitted with two pool tables, a dartboard, a Big Buck arcade game and another fire pit. Behind the pool tables is a wall encrusted with volcanic rock, while the opposite wall is covered with sea-smoothed gray pebbles. The building's age is evident thanks to the the water stains dotting the ceiling, but those only augment the lived-in vibe brought by the salty seaside crowd.
