http://www.bistango.com Bistango is a fusion of fine wine, gourmet food, contemporary art and sophisticated architecture. The candle-lit bar offers a view of a small stage that accommodates R&B, Latin and jazz bands. Well-known for its list of more than 400 wines, Bistango also features a full bar and a modest offering of domestic and imported bottled beers. When dining at Bistango on someone else's account, we suggest the prix fixe. The rotating artwork on display (mostly paintings and sculptures) are available for purchase. http://www.bjsbrewhouse.com BJ's is famous for crafting delicious brews in-house. The Brea location inhabits a space once known as the Gas Lamp Grill. The, multi-tiered room features sweeping brick archways, old-timey ceiling fans and a rich, dark-wood bar housing a large range of top-shelf whiskeys, vodkas and Scotches. The main event, though, is the beer, which ferments in large steel cisterns behind massive glass windows on the building's west side. There's the Jeremiah Red, Harvest Ale and the ever-popular Piranha Pale Ale. BJ's now serves selections from Placentia's craft factory The Bruery. It's a sweet spot to grab a pint, catch a football game on one of the flat-screens, and relax after fighting the hustle and bustle of the Brea Mall. Read more about this Orange County bar or club >>
http://www.bjsrestaurants.com If you've been to BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse, then you already know the deep-dish is delish, the Pizookie is not to be passed over, and the brewed-in-house beer selection will satisfy any aficionado. The Long Beach location is in the heart of Belmont Shore, and it's one of the original BJs to open along the SoCal coastline. It is a quarter the size of the newer BJ's Restaurants and still carries the earlier "Chicago Style" logo, yet the red-brick walls and TVs perpetually tuned to ballgames give the place the familiar BJs feel of a firehouse turned sports bar. Though it doesn't feature a full bar, there are plenty of craft beers available, all brewed at the Brea location (Pumpkin Ale, anyone?). And don't forget to try one of the most delicious pale ales on the planet, Pirahna. Read more about this Orange County bar or club >>
http://www.blackiesbythesea.com As the name implies, Blackie's By the Sea sits adjacent to the actual beach of Newport Beach. The quaint cash-only bar offers 12 beers on tap, as well as a handful of bottled brews, a full liquor selection and a modest wine list. More than dozen flat-screen TVs line the walls and a couple of pool tables (free on Wednesday and Thursday nights) sit in the back surrounded by life preservers, beer signs, and photos of regulars and the staff. The bar's merchandise, surfboards and novelty license plates hang from the ceiling; antique beer cans and dozens of police and sheriff's patches line the wall behind the bar. There are no drink specials, but domestic drafts are always $3.50. Blackie's provides free chili dogs on Monday nights, and on Wednesday night, you can get all-you-can-eat tacos with the purchase of two drinks. Read more about this Orange County bar or club >>
http://www.blondiessaloon.com Tucked in the middle of a shopping center, Blondie's Saloon is the epitome of a dive bar: small, dimly lit and filled with regulars. Blondie's only serves beer and wine, with limited selections of both, as well as the canned alcoholic energy drink Sparks. There are three electronic dartboards in the front of the room and two pool tables in the back. They take these games seriously: One wall is lined with dart-tournament plaques, which are next to a display case filled with billiards trophies. The wood paneling on the walls and the sports memorabilia scattered throughout the room makes Blondie's feel more like someone's den or recreation room than a bar, with the servers being scantily clad women instead of your weird uncle. http://www.thebluebeet.com This restaurant is a steak oasis, where the meat is aged for about one week to break down the sinew-making it tender-while being marinated in head chef Jorge Guttierez's secret concoction before being charbroiled to delectability! http://www.bluewatergrill.com It's all seafood all the time at this upscale chain establishment. The catches are fresh, and the chefs are not stingy with the portions. The Oyster Bar serves up delicious clam pots and oyster shots, and the kitchen's Bluewater Classics include beer-battered fish and chips, panko-fried shrimp, and a massive Australian lobster tail. An extensive sushi bar delivers some excellent raw choices, such as the unagi (freshwater eel) and amaebi (sweet shrimp). Read more about this Orange County bar or club >>

A cavernous space gussied up to look like the set of Cheers, its a great place to catch a game and grab a drink from one of the taps or the full bar. Dimly lit and surrounded by 33 TVs, Bobby D's also a houses a large room dedicated to diversions such as darts, video games and foosball.
