White Christmas

Irving Berlin's classic White Christmas comes to the stage at Segerstrom this festive season—and it's as close as OC is going to get to an actual snow-covered holiday. The original 1954 film featured a dashing Bing Crosby serenading Rosemary Clooney against a backdrop of snowflakes as they try to save the Vermont Inn from bankruptcy—by, naturally, performing a top-notch song and dance routine. This stage adaptation brings all the familiar tunes to life like “Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep,” “Happy Holiday,” and the famous title song (the best selling single of all time, don't you know), along with the red tuxedos and fur-trimmed ball gowns you remember. The whole thing's so wholesome and heart-warming, we might need a hit of insulin.
