Though Scullion, who includes Mike Patton and Scott Weiland among his musical idols, has yet to find lasting success, he has been at it since the mid-'90s, and he has the chops to prove it. But if you're looking for metal renditions of Peter Gabriel songs à la Coal Chamber's 1999 “Shock the Monkey,” prepare to be be disappointed, as the participating musicians have filed down their collective edges for this project and now produce a sound that hearkens back to the heyday of alt-rock.
