Walking with Dinosaurs

The Flintstones lied to us. It portrayed a peaceful co-existence between humans and dinosaurs, where people were able to treat the prehistoric creatures as pets, or use them to accomplish household tasks. But as anyone older than preschool age (hopefully) knows, dinosaurs and humans were millions of years apart, which totally sucks because dinosaurs are really awesome. The touring “Walking with Dinosaurs—The Arena Spectacular” is the closest folks can get to watching dinosaurs in action, and it’s returning to the Honda Center. There’s 10 species (including a T. Rex, natch) represented from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, plus it’s based on an exhaustively researched, historically accurate BBC series. But any learning is just a fringe benefit—it’s a show full of giant dinosaur robots. Come on.
