The Wrecking Crew

Back in the late '60s, the Grammy for Record of the Year went to a recording by a group of musicians called The Wrecking Crew. And again the following year. And the year after that. In fact, for six years in a row through the early '70s, every Record of the Year was something from the Crew. But most people have never heard of them. As session musicians, The Wrecking Crew would come to the studio and record music for any number of bands—The Byrds, Carpenters, Sonny and Cher, even Frank Sinatra—but never got the credit. Don't miss the screening of this eye-opening documentary about the world's most under-appreciated band—you'll never look at some of your favorite records the same way again. Nancy Sinatra's Boots? That was the Wrecking Crew. So was Simon & Garfunkel's Bridge Over Troubled Water. And Pet Sounds, too (sorry).
