The Sound of Music
Have you seen the new Tustin library yet? It really is quite lovely; more than twice the size of the old one, with dozens of computer stations, a Childrens Learning Center, Adult Quiet Room, and hey, even some books! And if you happen to be free at 11 a.m. on a Monday or a Wednesday, theyve been screening some pretty swell movies, like last years Best Picture winner Slumdog Millionaire and graphic novel adaptation Persepolis. This Wednesdays selection goes back a few decades: The Sound of Music, the 1965 Julie Andrews-starred film version of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical about singing and fleeing from the Nazis. Adjusted for inflation, its the third-highest grossing film, domestically, of all time (unadjusted, its No. 162. Inflation is a bitch.)
