The Science of Gingerbread

Man shall not live by gingerbread alone. Matthew 4:4, right? (Beer and Southern Comfort, maybe. But gingerbread? Nah.) However, if you’re on some newfangled gingerbread diet, or you just occasionally like a delicious slice of nice, the Discovery Science Center’s annual holiday festival has everything you ever needed to know about satisfying your sweet tooth. There are hands-on activities for the whole family: enough gingerbread mixing and pouring to satisfy your inner Wolfgang Puck, cookie decorating (and eating!), gingerbread houses, model trains, a gingerbread competition with awards, and visits from Santa. (Bribe him with a cookie, and he might tell you where the bad girls live.)
