The Return of Punk Rock Social
They’re the Meatmen and everything still sucks. Perhaps only Arizona’s amazingly disgusting Feederz could match Tesco Vee and the Meatmen’s discography of inspired over-the-top punk idiocy. “Crippled Children Suck,” of course, but then there are crowd-pleasers like “Orgy of One,” “I’m Glad I’m Not a Girl” and the immortal “Tooling For Anus”—all of which extend welcoming arms at the return of Punk Rock Social to openers Black Fag, Mimosa Beach’s most hardcore hardcore band who sing with a lisp but donate all their album proceeds to gay-rights charities. Hard, fast and deliberately hilarious—if it weren’t for bands like this, there’d be no reason to guzzle beer in a dim room at all.
