The Phantom of the Opera

For those who just can't friggin' wait until The Phantom of the Opera comes back to Orange County (or L.A. even! We'll drive!), there is a bit of good news here. Several theaters around the county are showing Phantom in all its gorgeous, decadent glory to celebrate the play's 25th year—with a live broadcast from the Royal Albert Hall in London. It's not the Paris Opera House, but it's a hell of a lot closer than, say, anything in Costa Mesa. Starring Ramin Karimloo as the Phantom and Sierra Boggess as Christine, watching the production spilled across the big screen is a fairly decent substitute to seeing it live. The Phantom hasn't graced our fair county in some time and with no rumor of a tour on the horizon, this might be your only chance to catch the Angel of Music for a while.
