The Last Call Lounge

One of the best things to do during a depression (both the personal and economic kind) is to watch stories about people who are far worse-off in life than you are. Not worse-off like the subhuman monsters who populate reality television, but more like the fictionally worse-off folks who we actually root for, failures and all. Enter The Last Call Lounge where the sign reads “Sorry, We’re Open,” and the neighboring businesses include Wanda’s Re-Gift Shop and national monuments such as the World’s Largest Stick o’ Butter. Inside the lounge, you’ll find some very lukewarm entertainment from simply terrible musical acts, yet also find momentary comfort among characters who, if they were real, would certainly make all depressions way more fun.

Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m. Starts: Sept. 14. Continues through Sept. 29, 2012
