The English Beat

The House of Blues becomes the House of Two-tone Ska this weekend with a performance by the genre's forefathers, the English Beat. Mind you, though the attempt at a full-band reconciliation in 2004 was unsuccessful, both Dave Wakeling and Ranking Roger still front their own versions of the group—it just depends which side of the pond you're on. Here in the States, Dave Wakeling runs the US version, and tours constantly to bring us yankees fine '80s hits like “Mirror in the Bathroom” and “Tears of a Clown.” Don your checkered suspenders, Orange County, let's all take a trip back in time.
