The Art of Appreciating Wine and Food

Some foodies call Valentine's “amateur night,” when every restaurant offers a similar prix-fix menu at an astronomical price, complete with a matching level of stress to get a reservation, deal with traffic and crowds of lovey-dovey teenagers. Chef Jeff Venier of the Center for Living Peace, however, sees things differently. He believes that “the couple who eats together, stays together.” With his workshop, “The Art of Appreciating Food and Wine: A Valentine’s Gift,” Venier holds onto the last romantic moments of the holiday and teaches couples how to transform mealtime into sexy time. He'll discuss how to enliven senses of sight, smell and, of course, taste. We wish we'd skipped the crowds of V-Day and just gone to this instead.
