Talib Kweli

This sounds like it couldn't possibly be correct: Brooklyn-bred rapper Talib Kweli, he of the hip-hop classic Quality LP and the late '90s Black Star collaboration with Mos Def, performing in downtown Fullerton on a Tuesday night, less than a week after Kweli returns from a three-week European tour. But it is indeed real, and a rare opportunity to see one of conscious hip hop's best without leaving Orange County. Kweli hasn't had a solo album since 2007's Eardrum, but he's been working on the reformed Reflection Eternal, his duo alongside rapper/producer Hi-Tek. They put out The RE:Union mixtape late last year, and are working on a new full-length, Revolutions Per Minute, scheduled to hit this April.
