Spinning into Butter

Hailed as one of the best plays of 1999 by Time Magazine, this socially-charged tale by Rebecca Gilman confronts issues of racism, head-on. Controversial in its approach, the play has been both acclaimed as an important dialogue piece in the debate over racism and its propagation throughout the university system, and decried as promoting such racism. Regardless of which side you fall on, this multi-award-winning look at institutionalized stereotypes and the people who fall victim to them will certainly provoke hearty and heated conversation on the ride home.

Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sun., June 6, 2 p.m. Starts: June 4. Continues through June 26, 2010
