Can you imagine Occupiers and Tea Partiers protesting what both sides view as a corrupt establishment? Yes, you probably can, but can you imagine them demonstrating together in unity and understanding? We didn't think so, either—but that's what Rebellious Truths has in mind for its Sounds of Truth Festival. The self-described “anti-partisan nonprofit” wants to set political differences and stereotypes aside at its first annual festival. Their vision can be boiled down to one simple line coined by the late Rodney King, “Can't we all just get along?” Perhaps, but if dialoguing with hawkish Romney-voters or socialist “Obamacare” supporters isn't your cup of tea, then have other civil conversations over food, music and dancing instead. Democrats, Republicans, Occupiers, Tea Partiers, Libertarians and Independents are all welcome!
