Sight Unseen

Donald Margulies’ play, Sight Unseen, tells the story of what it takes to get ahead in the art world, and what can get lost along the way. In this Obie-winning play, Jonathan Waxman is the artist of the moment with a long waiting list for his work, but with his first European show approaching, the pressure mounts—will his paintings be rejected in the European art scene, or will his status as the one to watch be further glorified? Waxman begins to feel like something is missing in his life, and goes searching for his first love to get in touch with the past—and those feelings that first made him want to be an artist.
