Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure

If only Sir Arthur Conan Doyle had written more. Sure, there are two massive volumes of Sherlock Holmes' adventures but somehow, that doesn't seem enough. Which is probably the reason Steven Dietz's adaptation of one of the most famous Holmes stories into a full-length stage production is met with such acclaim from hungry Holmsians. In The Final Adventure, the play begins with Doyle's A Scandal in Bohemia, in which the detective meets his intellectual match and lady love, Irene Adler, who is blackmailing the King. Dietz, however, extends the story into a twisting tale of danger, sharp wit and mortal enemies. Could this finally be the end for Holmes? Don't be ridiculous. And just to sweeten the deal, this night only is “pay what you can.”

Thursdays-Sundays. Starts: Feb. 23. Continues through March 24, 2012
