Singing, dancing and a giant man-eating flower: If that doesn't scream family fun, then nothing does. Recapturing the dark humor of the 1986 movie (itself based on the 1982 musical, which was based on Roger Corman's 1960 flick), Little Shop of Horrors will be hitting the stage at Irvine's Musical Theatre Village all month. Orange County audiences are invited to relive the gory romantic comedy about love-struck florist Seymour and his bloodthirsty plant, Audrey II. Take the family and join Seymour on his quest to feed both his romance and his plant-without killing too many people along the way. But please, leave the really young kiddies at home; this is no Sound of Music .
