ScotsFest 2012

A Highland Fling is not a quickie in the heather with Heather. Please try to remember that if you’re feeling all frisky after scoping out the bonny young lady dancers performing Flora MacDonald’s Fancy and the Sailor’s Hornpipe. Instead, go drown your sorrows at the Whisky Tavern, where you can sample over $350 worth of award-winning and rare Scotches for just $30. There is nonstop live music, marching bands, sheepherding demos, caber tossing and a kids’ center with archery, fun slides and sack races. You can also nosh on every imaginable Scottish food and the unimaginable—haggis. Word of warning: Flip up the wrong Scotsman’s kilt and he’s gonna go all Mac the Knife on your ass.
