Reverend Horton Heat
On the surface, inking with Chicago’s Victory Records seemed like a curious decision for the veteran Texas-based outfit—but since when has Jim Heath done anything conventionally? Heath and his revolving cast of musicians are going against the grain and touring ahead of the release of their forthcoming album, Rev, their 11th record. Dropping in January, this is the band’s first batch of original material since 2009’s Laughin' & Cryin' with the Reverend Horton Heat. Even with the lengthy gap between albums, the group maintains its vigor for playing live and their ability to put on a spellbinding show. And it's just those elements that made the group one of the baddest and most iconic names in psychobilly to emerge over the last two decades.
